Mick Rock: Let’s rock n’ roll
Yesterday the Idea Generation Gallery opened it’s doors and let the excited public in. Mick Rock is a legendary rock n’ roll photographer and here he presents a retrospective of his work, documenting the most outrageous events, people and legends in music history.
He’s photographed all the greats who some might say, single handedly created a rock revolution. Yes we’re talking David Bowie, Blondie, Queen, The Ramones…you name them and Mick has framed them.
The exhibition is free to enter, so there’s no excuse to not check it out. Running from 11 November 2010 to 16 January 2011, it has already proved to be a great success with fans cramming into the gallery on Chance Street for a one-off book signing with the man himself.
You can even make a day of it. From the 11- 18 November, every evening at 6 at Maurice Einhardt Neu Galleries (just over the road from Idea Generation Gallery) they host live bands as part of the Zippo Rehearsal rooms.
Monday to Friday- 10 – 6pm
Saturday & Saturday- 12 – 5pm.
11 Chance Street, Shoreditch. E2 7JB
