Mavado to feature on Chipmunk track

Fresh from filming the video for his new track Champion in Miami with Chris Brown, Chip has confirmed that his new album that will be entitled Transition, will also feature the Jamaican megastar, Mavado.

For those of you who aren’t aware, Mavado, real name David Constantine Brooks, is a Jamaican dancehall musician.  Raised in Cuba, no not the country, a small ghetto in Kingston, Jamaica.

In March 2008 his version of Real Mckoy was featured on the trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV Trailer Everyone’s a Rat”. That, along with the song Last Night both from the album Gangsta for Life: The Symphony of David Brooks.

Last November, Mavado lost out on the title of Best Reggae Artist to Sean Paul, but he did win an EME aware for male sinjay of the year this year.

SBTV leaked the information of the collaboration via Twitter during an interview with the Jamaican star. Chipmunk confirmed tweeting “Another cat’s out the bag! Yes I did a tune with MOVADO for #Transition…;) ZOOP!”
