New On The Road posters revealed

Kerouac fans are treated to another sneak peak from the film that is fast becoming one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Just a couple of weeks after the trailer for On The Road was released, the studio has given us some shiny, new posters to obsess over.

Arguably one of the most importent novels in American literature, it is not the easiest book to turn into a film and it has been a long road, but finally Walter Salles, with the help of screenwriter Jose Rivera, has managed to get it there – and having someone such as Kristen Stewart on board, certainly does help when it comes to studio backing.

Twilight‘s Kristen Stewart isn’t the only big name attached to the movie. British actor Sam Riley takes on the task of playing Sal Paradise, Kerouac’s alter-ego, whilst Garrett Hedlund (Tron) is Dean Moriarty (aka prolific beat Neal Cassidy). Kristen Stewart stars as Dean’s first wife, Marylou, whilst Kirsten Dunst is Camille, Dean’s second wife, and Tom Sturridge tackles the character of Carlo Marx (based on beat author Allen Ginsburg). Viggo Mortensen also stars as Old Bull Lee (author William S. Burroughs) and Amy Adams is Jane, Old Bull Lee’s wife.

The film is due to hit UK screens 21 Sepetember 2012 and I for one, cannot wait.
